Relationships

Where to start on this one?!?! I'm not just talking about love relationships but also family and friends as well. Relationships in general are hard and lord knows I've damaged some and taken care of others. I've had my fair share of faults in love, disagreements with family and also been a good and bad friend at times. One thing I've learned is ALL relationships take work and effort, effort on both ends. Effort means you can be the giver and the receiver. It also means that all the work shouldn't, solely, be on you to bare. Communication is also key, this is something I'm working on and have actually been pretty terrible at. I immediately go into defense mode for some reason, sometimes I catch myself and other times I don't even notice it until later, when I think about my actions. I often end up apologizing later for my words or comments in my moment of fury. Like I said I AM WORKING ON THIS. It's not easy but I've found being more self aware and doing self work helps. If I can notice my actions in the moment and stop myself, it would save everyone a lot of stress. Relationships, like I said are hard work, but so worth it in the end. There's nothing that can compare to having the support of your significant other, family and friends.
