Fit Problems

Do you ever catch yourself doing something absolutely ridiculous??? I do constantly and wonder where the hell did that come from. Here are a few things I've noticed from myself. 

 MY FIT PROBLEMS

 

- Some ass took my spot in the gym parking lot and I had to walk all the way from the far end to get in. 

- I hate it when the person in front of me is only taking the stairs one at a time. 

- The weight rack was clearly organized by someone who is dyslexic. 45s do not go at the top of the weight tree :-/ #OCD

- Kettlebells are marked in “poods” WTF is a pood! (JK, I know its Russian but it's still annoying) 

- My ponytail gets stuck under the barbell when I'm doing squats. Ouch!

- I hate having to share equipment. I always do but I HATE IT.

- Ugh I forgot upload my after workout pic to facebook, twitter, instagram! How will my 800+ friends know I worked out.

- I fell off my treadmill answering a text.

- I've put on muscle from my off-season training and now my ass barely fits in my jeans. #babygotback


 

Questions About My Progress

I constantly get messages on facebook asking me how I got into such good shape and if I can give them any advice on how to get into shape. Well first things first let me say I was not in terrible shape when I started. I have been working out for years, mainly cardio and some light weights. Drinking Alcohol While Dieting

Alcohol consumption would not be my liquid of choice while dieting and the draw backs will far outweigh any health benefits your red wine drinking friends may tell you. The liver cannot metabolize alcohol and fat at the same time so this means that while you are drinking you are NOT burning fat and won't be until the alcohol is completely out of your system; and depending on the amount you drink that could be up to 24 hours, if not more. Stop The Binge

I think almost everyone has been to the point of no return, when reaching for A cookie turns into 2 cookies, then 3 cookies then before you know it the whole box is gone and all you can think about is wanting even more cookies. We then try to justify the multiple sweets we just ate but just because you had a cereal bar for breakfast doesn't cancel out the 8 cookies you just had. I was trying to get my thoughts together today and as I often do to boost my mood I was reading through some quotes. I love quotes b/c a simple sentence can turn your day from crappy to happy as I was searching I came across this poem. Voices In My Head

This will probably sound crazy but I actually have two voices in my head that are constantly talking with each other and I bet some of you do also! The first voice is "I" and this is the voice that controls my actions and desires. The second voice is "myself" and this voice is always motivated and just doesn't give a shit about negativity. Sugar Headache!

So yesterday I decided to have one last BIG treat before starting my off season plan. I ate a HUGE Oreo sunday in a waffle bowl. The pic is on my Daily Progress page, I'm not going to lie it was delicious and at the moment I enjoyed every bite. Although 15 minutes after I finished I regretted it. New Beginnings

Well I did take a week off but not two like I had thought I would. I just can't stay out of the gym that long, even though I needed the rest last week I was still itching to get back into the groove of things. In fact, I found that I wasn't even sure what to do with my self at times. Contest Round Up

So the past two weeks I've been MIA since I had two contest back to back. I have to say I am exhausted and am ready for a break. I placed in both shows and am now nationally qualified for a year. My plan is to take these next two weeks off and not even touch the gym. The only activity I will be doing is walking my dog twice a day. Starting Aug. 29th I am going into my off season which I will be in for 6-8 months. I plan on doing at least two national shows next year and really need that time ...

Knox Classic

So, my next competition is this weekend Aug 4th. I will not be posting pics or blogs until after it. I really need to focus since I'm in the final hours and I'll be getting all tanned up, lol. I'm bringing a different look to the stage this time so I can only hope the judges like what they see. I'm feeling pretty good and I know I've made improvements so I can only do my best, which is what I strive for every day. I will post updates on Monday so until then stay strong!
